RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION
FOR SEPTEMBER, 2008/2009
Registration
for Religious Education classes for September 2008 is now in
progress! |
Religious Education
classes are held weekly in the Saint Francis of
Assisi school under the direction of Mrs. Maryann Marren. If you
would like to volunteer to help teach Catholicism to our children please
call Mrs. Betty Norton at 973-835-1946.
CCD Weather Watch
On Mondays, if Wanaque Borough schools are canceled due to
bad weather, the CCD classes are also canceled.
On Sundays, parents will be notified by phone if classes are
canceled. Also, you can tune to WGHT, AM 1500, to hear if
classes have been canceled on either day.
New Registrations –
Children who are new to the parish or who entered First (1st)
grade in the public schools in September should also register at
this time. The First Holy Communion program requires two
(2) years of religious education classes. Registration
forms are available at the Religious Education Office,
973-835-1946.
Attention: Religious Education Parents
– Registration forms for the 2008-2009 CCD school year have been
distributed to all families presently registered in the
program. Please return registration forms as soon as possible.
Registration forms are available at the Religious Education
office or at the rectory. For further information call
835-1946.
St. Francis Religious Education needs your
help!!
As our St. Francis community grows with many new families, we
are in need of CCD teachers, substitutes and aides, etc. Please
give some consideration to volunteering as a teacher, substitute
or aide for the upcoming school year, starting September, 2008.
We are always willing to assist and train anyone who would be
willing to serve.
***********************
Our team of teachers and aides are a blessing to
us and we constantly thank God for them. We are also grateful
to the parents of our children who take the time to bring them
to the classes and pick them up after the instructions. A lot
of effort goes into making a program work. Our hope is that our
united undertaking which gives priority to the faith formation
of our children will bear much fruit. We not only want our
children to be safe and knowledgeable, but also courageous
enough to make wise decisions: saying Yes to God and No to sin.
